Celtic vs Rangers
Date: Sunday 2nd September – 12pm
Location: Celtic Park
Rangers have started pretty well under new boss Steven Gerrard. Unbeaten in the league and through to the Europa League group stages, the Liverpool legend will be mildly content ahead of his biggest test to date, the Old Firm derby. Celtic, under Brendan Rodgers, have been dominant in Scottish football, winning the domestic treble two seasons in a row.
This Rangers side should put up a lot more of a fight than the Rangers of last year, and with Celtic not looking their best so far this season, Rangers fans may be forgiven if they think this is finally the time they defeat their greatest rival in a long time. However, I think the gap is still too big to breach for Rangers, especially at Celtic Park.
Verdict – Celtic 2-1 Rangers (8/1)
Red card to be awarded (15/8)
Celtic to win and BTTS (2/1)
Rogic first goalscorer (13/2)
Rangers have already received 4 red cards this season.
