@RobShiers takes on @JackMcgac in a contest to see who can predict the most correct scores on the Premier League fixtures this week. 1 point for a correct result, 5 for a correct scoreline.
CARDIFF vs NEWCASTLE
The Magpies had a decent showing in spite of defeat against Tottenham and Cardiff will want to prove the doubters who have tipped them for bottom place wrong.
EVERTON vs SOUTHAMPTON
Both sides will be looking to build on draws last weekend but Everton should have the upper hand with home advantage.
With a few new players still to come in for Everton and the form Richarlison showed last week, a comfortable Everton win.
LEICESTER vs WOLVES
Should be a good game. I think Leicester will just nick it with Vardy scoring for the Foxes.
Wolves have the individual quality but playing away from home against a well-organised team will be tough. Home win.
TOTTENHAM vs FULHAM
Spurs should be too strong for a Fulham side still trying to gel their new signings. Harry Kane will be looking to break his August scoring duck.
A tale of two transfer windows here, although it wasn’t enough for big spenders Fulham to avoid a nasty surprise on their Premier League return. I can see this continuing, Spurs looking like they’ve not missed a beat from last season.
WEST HAM vs BOURNEMOUTH
You never know which West Ham team will show up. Bournemouth did well last week and I think they’ll get a decent away point here.
West Ham suffered a crushing defeat last weekend while Eddie Howe will be pleased that starting the season as the longest serving Premier League manager ended in victory. Difficult one to call but I’ll go with West Ham.
CHELSEA vs ARSENAL
This game I believe will be a lot closer then what most will expect, an entertaining draw on the horizon for Saturday’s evening game.
BURNLEY vs WATFORD
Burnley is always tough to beat but often lack in firepower. After a tough game in Europe Thursday I don’t expect this to be a classic.
Burnley had to play 2 games in a week compared to their opponents will catch up to them. Watford was comfortable last week and I think they will repeat that here.
MAN CITY vs HUDDERSFIELD
City will have no troubles beating Huddersfield, it is just a case of how many goals they get. Will be interesting to see which attack Pep goes with.
Man City did not have to struggle to breeze past Arsenal at the Emirates and the Citizens will want to use this game as a warning to their Premier League rivals.
BRIGHTON vs MAN UNITED
Potential banana skin for Jose Mourinho at a ground United lost at last season. Think they will be okay here though.
Brighton last week was so disappointing. Manchester United delivered on their intentions with a routine win on the first game of the new season.
CRYSTAL PALACE vs LIVERPOOL
Liverpool’s attack will be too good for Palace here. Can see Roy Hodgson’s men scoring though.
Palace spoiled Fulham’s party last week but Liverpool will continue with another strong performance here.
