Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar – Q&A

The biggest match of the biggest party of the summer is undoubtedly Universal Champion Brock Lesnar against number one contender Roman Reigns. Here are our experts’ picks for Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar.

Who do you think will come out on top between Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar?

@JackMcGac – Roman Reigns. It’s been a turbulent feud where every time they have fought, the expectation has been that Reigns will walk out champion, but it is yet to happen. With the feud, they have had and Angle spending time on Raw rightfully pointing out that Brock is never around, I expect that this will finally be his time to win.

@RobShiers – Roman Reigns. This has got to be his time. With Brock Lesnar going off to fight in UFC soon, he will be around even less than he is now. Roman cannot afford another loss to Lesnar if he wants to be considered the top dog in WWE.

@Unclesamsbets – Roman Reigns. It frustrates me that people still boo this guy. He is one of the best wrestlers on the planet and deserves to be on top. But, with Lesnar heading off to the UFC I can see Reigns winning but with a little bit of help from Paul Heyman.

Will there be a cash in?

@JackMcGac – I can definitely see a cash in happening, but I don’t think it will be the right time for it. I expect both Braun and Roman to win but if there is a cash in, it would feel like a repeat of Sheamus cashing in and set Roman up as the underdog babyface and history suggests this will not work.

@RobShiers – I think there will be. I’m not sure it should happen because Roman should get his big win and given his run as champion. However, I think they will use Braun Strowman to cash in. I can see Reigns winning, Lesnar attacking him after the bell and the Monster Among Men taking advantage.

@Unclesamsbets – I don’t think so. Roman deserves to get his big win and I cannot see them pulling another Rollins-esque cash in.

Which Lesnar/Reigns match has been your favourite so far?

@JackMcGac – The first Lesnar Reigns match is definitely my favourite, but only because of Rollins’ cash in. The other two matches have disappointed, but only because of the insistence on having Roman spending the whole match getting beat down. A more competitive match between the two would help out the match quality a lot.

@RobShiers – Definitely the first one at Wrestlemania 31. The cash in by Rollins made it even better, but even up until that point it was a great contest. Their match at this year’s Wrestlemania wasn’t bad and had a surprising ending. The cage match in Saudi Arabia was quite poor, although I didn’t mind the finish.

@Unclesamsbets – Their match at Wrestlemania 31. Although the cash in stole the headlines that day (deservedly so). However, the heart and desire we saw from Reigns that night was brilliant and captivating, that really put him on the map.

Will this be Brock Lesnar’s last WWE match?

@JackMcGac – It depends how much WWE wants to pay Brock. I think that this will be his last match for a while and he will come back in a couple of years time. But, as previously stated, we’ve said all this about Lesnar before and he still sticks around. If he does stay, I would like to see him go against Bobby Lashley or possibly Drew McIntyre.

@RobShiers – No, he will be back around Royal Rumble or Wrestlemania time. WWE pay him too much for a relaxed schedule and he will make as much money as possible before retiring. I would like to see him up against Lashley or McIntyre like Jack said or possibly against Seth Rollins.

@Unclesamsbets – It won’t be. But, he does really need to disappear for a year or so. People need to forget about him in wrestling form and bring him back once he has had a few more UFC matches.

Which other Summerslam match are you most looking forward to?

@JackMcGac – Adding Ambrose into the mix for the Intercontinental Championship has definitely caught my attention. The Ziggler Rollins feud has been underwhelming despite the potential for them to create magic in the ring, so seeing if Ambrose will cost Rollins and turn heel or if they’ll team up again adds an extra dimension to the match.

@RobShiers – The Miz vs Daniel Bryan. For me, this has had the best build up by a mile. The bout is 8 years in the making, dating back to their rivalry on the very first series of NXT. The confrontation on Talking Smack in 2016 had me praying Daniel Bryan would return for this match and I can’t wait to see what happens.

@Unclesamsbets – The Miz vs Daniel Bryan. The Miz is the best heel in the world. Bryan is the ultimate babyface. This is a feud that is real and personal, look no further than there segment on Talking Smack for confirmation. Expect fireworks when these two superstars step between the ropes.
